Small fissures in stucco or EIFS surfaces are normally sealed by an application of our Base Overlay Product and/or the RE-Finish Kote. The crack pictured at left requires a FlexRock polyester overlay. This can be done using the Base Kote or Base Overlay. Other areas requiring the reinforcing membrane include expansion joints, level changes where metal lathe lines are exposed, door jambs, window frames, and other stress areas in new or retrofit applications. Typically all details in a retrofit install need to be re-flashed, as these are the areas which have a history of deficiencies which include failing caulk, cracking, or other adhesion related problems.
Pictured at right is a masonry ledge located in the Northeast which exhibits severe water damage. Freezing water expands during cold weather conditions causing the type of damage shown. By wrapping this ledge and flashing up the wall with the FlexRock Flashing System, this type of water problem can be solved.
