Shown left is our Modified System over exterior gypsum board. The structure is sheathed with ½" ply-wood. Using a ¾" spacer, the gypsum board is fastened to the wall in 4x4 blocks. The FlexRock Polyester is laid into the joints with a brush to conform to the layout. The FlexRock reinforced system will not crack in these areas as conventional systems do. After completion of the Base Kote and reinforcing, the wall is sprayed with FlexRock Modified Stucco.

All details being installed here were Base Koted and sprayed with the Modified product in the shop prior to installation. All EPS details shown are 2 lb. density. Although a lesser density foam can be used, a 2 lb. system is tougher and easier to mechanically fasten and adhere. Coverage rate for the Modified products are 18 to 20 square feet per gallon. Most applications require a second pass to touch-up light areas, etc., depending upon the skill of the applicator.

Pictured is our Premium Modified Stucco Product sprayed over pre-cast concrete. The column shown is our FlexRock Stucco Product which has also been sprayed. Again this shows the versatility of the system to create many different effects. The color of the Premium Modified product does not come from commercial pigmentation, but rather from ground mineral rock. This allows the color to remain for years since the rock is not likely to fade. Coverage rate for the Premium Modified Product is also 18 to 20 square feet per gallon. Both Modified products can be troweled on to achieve a surface with less tooth. This process also requires more product. By troweling, the aggregate is pressed below the surface by the trowel, leaving a smoother but attractive color scheme.
